Hilton Head Island missions trip.
Last week we had two youth groups come to Hilton Head Island to serve. When I tell people I am going to Hilton Head to do ministry their first instinct is to laugh. I don’t really blame them, Hilton Head is a beautiful Island with multi million dollar homes on it. Its also a place of extreme poverty, as in trailer homes that have the floors falling through or Seniors centers where people have felt abandoned for so long. We also work with kids, some who just need a hug and to be told they are loved. This place is in just as much need as other places. Millions of people flock to the beach each year, in search of something. Maybe its just rest, or some fun, but there are lots who go to be able to “get away” they are searching for something that they cant find at home. At the end of the day our goal is to bring people Hope. This week we saw some amazing things, we saw these kids step out in boldness to share their faith, people growing in their faith, and Salvations. I love how the Lord worked some amazing things on this trip. When you give it to the Lord and tell Him he can do whatever He wants with it… oh how He shows up!
