They Trained and went… A Guatemalan- Honduras story

As 2015 is wrapping up I would like to take a moment and share some testimonies with you. As many of you know this past year we would travel to Lake Atitlan ( About 3 hours from Antigua) to host these missions conferences once a month. After 6 months of training our group of fifteen, eight of them got on a bus with us for a fifteen hour journey to Honduras. Here is what they had to say about their trip.

“As a group, we were guided by the Holy Spirit. There was a man sitting and we decided to go share with him the word of God. He thought we were gang members because, the day before, he was threatened to be murdered. His son is in a gang and they wanted to murder him too, probably the next day or the following day.

We told him ‘no, we are not gang members’ and we began to share God’s word with him since we wanted to share God’s word. We shared the Gospel with this man and He accepted Jesus in his Heart.

We know now that if He died, this man would be in the Glory of God and he can rest.

What impacted me was that we were being led by the Holy Spirit, giving that word to the man who needed to hear from God. That is what impacted me.” -Ricardo Honduras Team Member.

“From the bottom of my heart I wanted to share with you that I am grateful to be here.

Coming to Honduras has opened my eyes to what is happening in the world and that I need to go to the nations to share the love of God.

I wanted to share that you are sowing into fertile ground. God is going to bless you immensely. Thank you!” -Racquel Honduras Team Member

“One the things I really enjoyed that, during this  trip, God allowed me to understand, He  spoke directly to my heart that He has always  been open to speak to my heart. Many times I felt  the anguish of thinking ‘Why doesn’t God speak to  me’ or why he wasn’t responding to my prayers or  in the moments that I needed him. And He  showed me that in every instance He was with me  and that He has always responded to my prayers,  I just needed to be attentive and open to Him.

What stood out the most on this trip was not only  was God speaking into my life, but that He was speaking into the lives of everyone in the group. He was using us to share the love of God with everyone. He brought us at the precise time to Honduras when this place was going through a time of suffering, sadness in the town, and God brought us in this time that they needed encouragement.

So, it is something amazing and I am grateful to God for being a part of this experience, this moment, to be the channel of blessing, responding to the needs of this town on behalf of God.” -Pablo Honduras Team Member

“The way that God has changed and transformed me was through praise and worship. He has changed the way I live and the way I view things and a better way of hearing God’s voice. I learned that He shows his love in different ways. He speaks to us in incredible ways, at times to great to understand.

One of the things that transforms me and fills me up with courage and strength is listening to God’s voice, hearing him say, hearing him clearly say I am His valiant warrior and His servant. That has transformed my heart as well as seeing other people here transform in the same way that I was transforming through the Holy Spirit. I know, after this, my life has been changed for the good, to go and do more than I’ve ever done, and change more lives, especially my own. Thank the Lord for his love and faithfulness with us. -Dennys Honduras Team Member

Thank you for praying for our team, we saw the Lord move in so many different ways. Its still hard to put how awesome this trip was into words. To see each person walking in their gifting’s and talents was such a huge blessing. This is a group who will continue to effect their home towns, the ones around them, and the world. There are big plans for each and every one of them! Praise the Lord!
